suicide. a frightening thought. 'if you had to, how would you?'
strange. it never occurred to me that people had a preference.
jumping off a building is the road to no return. suicide by gun, not so much.
yes, load it up and be done with it. ten seconds, tops.
but, if you had second thoughts, you could put it down.
same with pills. there's a chance you will wake up.
but on the other hand; being hundreds of feet in the air, stepping off that ledge
it's over, it's done.
no redo, no rewind. you cannot change your mind.
and for the few last seconds that you are falling--freedom. you're free.
close your eyes. fly away. over the stars.

Because then, in those last few seconds, I'd get to conquer irreversibly my fear of heights, and then I really would be free.
I love living too much to die, but if I had to go, that's how I'd go.
..mm, it's truly inspirational to know someone thinks as deeply as i do on such touchy subjects.
